September 26, 2007 The ASSOCIATION OF KNITWEAR DESIGNERS Meets Milestone

Boise, Idaho - The ASSOCIATION OF KNITWEAR DESIGNERS (AKD) filed Articles of Incorporation with the Idaho Secretary of State on Wednesday, September 26, 2007. AKD is now officially a not-for-profit corporation.

The Bylaws were amended in compliance with the Articles of Incorporation and the leadership restructured from Executive Committee to Board of Directors. Elections for the Board of Directors are scheduled for November 1, 2007.

AKD, Inc. will be filing for status as a 501(c) non profit organization and sees these steps as substantial progress toward improving its ability to provide resources for its members and act on their behalf within the industry.
